Being A Small Youtuber & Following My Dreams

On June 2, 2016 I reached 100 subscribers on my channel ‘HelloStayChic’, It was the biggest accomplishment ever. Making videos was something that I’ve always loved. I’ve always made clips  that I did with  my sister that I never really posted online because I never really thought about putting it there in the first place because making videos was just for my family and myself. But once going into high school, I knew that I wanted to make public videos online for everyone to see but here was one problem, I didn’t had the resources to do it.

By not having the resources to do it, I still continued to make mini clips of family trips, recording me just talking to a camera just to say what I felt even though I knew no one would hear it. My good high school friend Kasia and I use to make videos because she gotten a Nikon Camera and we filmed all the time! From challenges, to tags and just us being silly, it was always a good time. She also had a good camera with imovie, so she could edit the videos! We also planned on even having a youtube channel together but that never became reality but I still wanted to do it. I have this friend named Chrissy and she is the most inspiring and heart warming person you’ll ever meet. She always told be to follow my dreams, to do something you love. She always told me that and ever since then, I’ve always kept that dear to my heart. I even have that quote in my high school class ring. I know it sounds crazy and cliche but it really means a lot to me. If I do something that I love and have a passion for, I know I won’t regret anything.

Making videos is something that I want to do. I absolutely love the whole process of it. By making  content that I like and others like and relate as well. I’ve never would have though that a girl like me would even get 100 subscribers. It’s literally unreal. All the sleepless nights editing or waiting for it to process, to editing the thumbnail. It’s crazy to me that people took three minutes out of their day to even check out my videos. I know I’m a small youtuber but this is a big step for me! It inspires me to keep going because it really makes me happy and others who watch it as well. This journey has been crazy, who knows what would happen in the near future.

For the people that want to start a youtube channel.. DO IT! Don’t be afraid, this is a creative place to do your own thing and express who you are! Stop thinking what if and actually do it! Try it out, everyday you’ll be learning something new and you’ll soon become a pro just like your youtube favs. Believe in yourself, be happy doing it and follow your dreams. I hope this inspires and motivates you to do it! You never know until you try!

Until next time, Ames xx
