Opening Up

Ever since I was little, I was very shy. I would keep to myself and never really speak to people who I wasn’t familiar with. Growing up, I never really participated in school. I wouldn’t raise my hand even though I knew the answer. I wouldn’t really speak in groups because I wasn’t comfortable around them etc.

I was like that until my senior year of high school. I was determined to be more open and talk more to people that I wouldn’t normally talk to. It was a bit hard I’m not going to lie, I’m more of an introvert than an extrovert. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am the complete opposite when I’m with my closest friends. I’m loud, energetic and talkative. But I’ve just aways had this problem when it came to meeting new people and I don’t know why.

I’ve opened up more and really started talking and engage more with others both inside and outside of school. Especially when I went to college. It’s a time to meet new people and find yourself too. Being more confident in speaking out just and just being comfortable made me make new friends at university and it has made me come out of my shell. I raise my hand more often, I voice my opinion and also talking to other has made me gain new friends.

The moral of the story is to try and do something out of you’re comfort zone. Challenge yourself and see if you can accomplish it. It can be about anything really. You just have to believe in yourself ( as cheesy as that sounds). Let me know what you would like to accomplish or do something out of your comfort zone. We’re in this together!

Lets Catch Up Shall We?

Wow. It’s been almost since I’ve done a blog post. Where has the time gone? A lot has changed since I’ve last posted/chatted with you guys. Where do I begin?! Go and get a snack or a drink because I have a feeling this is going to be a really long post!

Well for starters.. I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL! After four years of stress, exams and drama I’ve finally did it! I graduated in May for those who are wondering. It has been a crazy roller coaster. But sometimes I do miss it (low key shh). Another thing is that I completed my first semester of University, which is really exciting! College is a whole different ballgame  than high school. You basically have to be an adult, doing your own thing. But there will  be another blog post that talks about that!

What else… hmm. One thing that happens after high school is that you don’t talk to your friends that you use to talk to for the past four years. They go to different colleges  and have just changed over the past few months. Honestly, I thought that two friendships would’ve lasted longer but we’ve grown distant and don’t have the same views and likes anymore. I mean that what live is right? We’re going to gain and lose friends for the rest of our lives.

I really missed doing this. I want to thank Bethan for telling me to make an account. I’ve also feel like we’ve grown apart as well. I don’t know why but we’ve have. I guess we’ve been so busy with our lives. The 26th of January will be two years of being friends. Bethan if you’re reading this, I hope, I miss you and we need to catch up yeah?

Another thing that’s been doing really well for me is my Youtube Channel. If you guys didn’t know. I have a youtube channel and it’s called: HelloStayChic ! I’ve been doing loads of videos and vlogs and everything basically. It’s doing very well. I really want to improve my content and editing etc. Filming and editing and making videos is something that i have a passion for. And I have friends that love and do it as well. So if you want to check it out, go for it! Subscribe (click the red button) if you want to see more of my videos! *Subscribe to my Youtube Channel Here*

By the way, happy new year everyone! Hope the new year brings you, your friends and family a lot of happiness this year! I hope a lot of good things will happen for me this year. I’m working really hard at college, creating youtube videos and just setting a bunch a goals for myself this year! I’m really excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to write about it for you guys!

I hope you’re excited that I’m back and I’m really happy to start writing again!

A Confession Letter

You’ve probably written letters before. But have you ever written a confession letter? I bet you’re confused. You basically write a letter to someone that has been bugging you about stuff lately. When you don’t want to talk about it face to face, here is another alternative.

I only written a confession letter once, and it was recent. Basically, my friend and I  were really close since the beginning of high school. And in the middle of Junior year, it all changed. A new girl came into our group of friends and spent more time with her than me. Then the changes happened. She started acting differently and did things that I never thought she’ll do. And when me and the new girl ever had a disagreement, she will always take her side. So after that we became distant and not as close as before. And more things have happened after that.

This year my other close friend I decided to write her a letter. Just to tell her everything that has been on our minds an how we felt. We poured our hearts into this letter. Bringing back some good memories and silly times. Once we were finally done, we sent it to her. She read the letter. I haven’t mentioned it to her about it. I want her to feel comfortable and when the time is right, she’ll mention it to me. Hopefully soon.

Have you ever wanted to say something to a person on how you felt and had no idea how to do it. I recommend doing this. Whether to a friend, relative, boyfriend, girlfriend or your dog. I felt really good doing this. And I hope you will too if you ever do this. Best of luck!

Stay true to who you are..

Being an 17 almost 18-year-old girl in high school, you’ll be tempted or pressured to do things.  I feel like your years of high school are your years to experiment and try things.  Those things can be both good and bad.

Being a teen and having friends,  I feel like they would want to pressure you to do things. You see examples like in movies or clips. But my life in high school didn’t go that way. I feel that the decisions you make is through the people you surround yourself with. If that makes sense. Your friends might do things that you’re not really comfortable doing. They may even hang out with others and act different just for them to be “cool” or “blend in.” As for me, I like to isolate myself from those people. If I’m not comfortable or don’t like the way you act around me with others, I just won’t talk to you.

Stay true to who you are and don’t feel the need to do something in order to be cool. Because in the end its not worth it and it won’t really matter once you’ve graduated high school. The only words of wisdom I can give you is to stay focused, surround yourself with positive and respectful friends and to keep doing what you love.

A New Chapter..

It’s 2015 and that means it’s time to start fresh. As everyone says “new year, new me”, this year is going to be my year.  This is the year when I turn 18, graduate high school and attend college. Say that five times straight.

As my last few months are slowly coming to an end, I reflect on how much my life has changed the last couple of years. I lost some friends, some that I rarely talk to but that’s life right? I have a friend and we’ve been friends for about 13 years now. You can say we’re practically sisters. But I have also made new friends as well. I made friends through the internet. One from Texas and one from Wales.  It’s crazy to think that one of my closest friends lives all the way in the UK. I’m grateful to have her as my friend and learn new things from her. My dream is to one day fly over to the UK and go site seeing and see her as well!

My life I has been quite busy and stressful. From completing college apps, to doing research papers and keeping up with school work can make you want to rip your hair off. But it’ll all be worth it at the end. My friend inspired me to try and make a blog post. So here I am. I apologize in advance if it’s really bad but I’m trying.

So the question is college. Some people know what they want to be and what they want to study. As for me, I want to be a lot of things: a radiologist, kindergarten teacher and a postpartum nurse. You can say that I’m really scared yet excited of college.  Becoming independent and finding myself as a person. I’m only 17 years old and there’s so much to learn and experience. It’s just the beginning!
