Being A Small Youtuber & Following My Dreams

On June 2, 2016 I reached 100 subscribers on my channel ‘HelloStayChic’, It was the biggest accomplishment ever. Making videos was something that I’ve always loved. I’ve always made clips  that I did with  my sister that I never really posted online because I never really thought about putting it there in the first place because making videos was just for my family and myself. But once going into high school, I knew that I wanted to make public videos online for everyone to see but here was one problem, I didn’t had the resources to do it.

By not having the resources to do it, I still continued to make mini clips of family trips, recording me just talking to a camera just to say what I felt even though I knew no one would hear it. My good high school friend Kasia and I use to make videos because she gotten a Nikon Camera and we filmed all the time! From challenges, to tags and just us being silly, it was always a good time. She also had a good camera with imovie, so she could edit the videos! We also planned on even having a youtube channel together but that never became reality but I still wanted to do it. I have this friend named Chrissy and she is the most inspiring and heart warming person you’ll ever meet. She always told be to follow my dreams, to do something you love. She always told me that and ever since then, I’ve always kept that dear to my heart. I even have that quote in my high school class ring. I know it sounds crazy and cliche but it really means a lot to me. If I do something that I love and have a passion for, I know I won’t regret anything.

Making videos is something that I want to do. I absolutely love the whole process of it. By making  content that I like and others like and relate as well. I’ve never would have though that a girl like me would even get 100 subscribers. It’s literally unreal. All the sleepless nights editing or waiting for it to process, to editing the thumbnail. It’s crazy to me that people took three minutes out of their day to even check out my videos. I know I’m a small youtuber but this is a big step for me! It inspires me to keep going because it really makes me happy and others who watch it as well. This journey has been crazy, who knows what would happen in the near future.

For the people that want to start a youtube channel.. DO IT! Don’t be afraid, this is a creative place to do your own thing and express who you are! Stop thinking what if and actually do it! Try it out, everyday you’ll be learning something new and you’ll soon become a pro just like your youtube favs. Believe in yourself, be happy doing it and follow your dreams. I hope this inspires and motivates you to do it! You never know until you try!

Until next time, Ames xx

Opening Up

Ever since I was little, I was very shy. I would keep to myself and never really speak to people who I wasn’t familiar with. Growing up, I never really participated in school. I wouldn’t raise my hand even though I knew the answer. I wouldn’t really speak in groups because I wasn’t comfortable around them etc.

I was like that until my senior year of high school. I was determined to be more open and talk more to people that I wouldn’t normally talk to. It was a bit hard I’m not going to lie, I’m more of an introvert than an extrovert. I mean don’t get me wrong, I am the complete opposite when I’m with my closest friends. I’m loud, energetic and talkative. But I’ve just aways had this problem when it came to meeting new people and I don’t know why.

I’ve opened up more and really started talking and engage more with others both inside and outside of school. Especially when I went to college. It’s a time to meet new people and find yourself too. Being more confident in speaking out just and just being comfortable made me make new friends at university and it has made me come out of my shell. I raise my hand more often, I voice my opinion and also talking to other has made me gain new friends.

The moral of the story is to try and do something out of you’re comfort zone. Challenge yourself and see if you can accomplish it. It can be about anything really. You just have to believe in yourself ( as cheesy as that sounds). Let me know what you would like to accomplish or do something out of your comfort zone. We’re in this together!

Lets Catch Up Shall We?

Wow. It’s been almost since I’ve done a blog post. Where has the time gone? A lot has changed since I’ve last posted/chatted with you guys. Where do I begin?! Go and get a snack or a drink because I have a feeling this is going to be a really long post!

Well for starters.. I GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL! After four years of stress, exams and drama I’ve finally did it! I graduated in May for those who are wondering. It has been a crazy roller coaster. But sometimes I do miss it (low key shh). Another thing is that I completed my first semester of University, which is really exciting! College is a whole different ballgame  than high school. You basically have to be an adult, doing your own thing. But there will  be another blog post that talks about that!

What else… hmm. One thing that happens after high school is that you don’t talk to your friends that you use to talk to for the past four years. They go to different colleges  and have just changed over the past few months. Honestly, I thought that two friendships would’ve lasted longer but we’ve grown distant and don’t have the same views and likes anymore. I mean that what live is right? We’re going to gain and lose friends for the rest of our lives.

I really missed doing this. I want to thank Bethan for telling me to make an account. I’ve also feel like we’ve grown apart as well. I don’t know why but we’ve have. I guess we’ve been so busy with our lives. The 26th of January will be two years of being friends. Bethan if you’re reading this, I hope, I miss you and we need to catch up yeah?

Another thing that’s been doing really well for me is my Youtube Channel. If you guys didn’t know. I have a youtube channel and it’s called: HelloStayChic ! I’ve been doing loads of videos and vlogs and everything basically. It’s doing very well. I really want to improve my content and editing etc. Filming and editing and making videos is something that i have a passion for. And I have friends that love and do it as well. So if you want to check it out, go for it! Subscribe (click the red button) if you want to see more of my videos! *Subscribe to my Youtube Channel Here*

By the way, happy new year everyone! Hope the new year brings you, your friends and family a lot of happiness this year! I hope a lot of good things will happen for me this year. I’m working really hard at college, creating youtube videos and just setting a bunch a goals for myself this year! I’m really excited for what’s to come and I can’t wait to write about it for you guys!

I hope you’re excited that I’m back and I’m really happy to start writing again!

Until next time, Ames xx
